how do you join the argos?

We have four membership pathways to suit any level of rower and participation. We are a club open to anyone that shares our passion for rowing, or wants to find out more, and supports our values of diversity, inclusiveness, fun and an active lifestyle. For active rowers we offer the lowest annual membership in Melbourne.

Explore our pathways and contact us to discuss joining.

New to Rowing

If you've always been interested in the sport of rowing, or wanted to give it a try but never have, or you just want to try a new sport and meet new people then we run a Learn-To-Row program through out the year that's perfect for you.

The four week program will teach you the basics of rowing on and off the water, introduce you to the club, its coaches & our members and kick start your new rowing journey, plus you'll meet a lot of new friends.

Learn to Row

Experienced Rower

We provide for all levels of rowing, from social & for fitness rowing right up to senior competitive level.

If you're an experienced rower we have weekly social rowing sessions where you can come down and experience the club, see our fleet & meet our crews.

Been a while since you've rowed? We can provide you the opportunity to get back into a boat in a relaxed and friendly environment.

Return to Row

Coxswain & Coach

We have a volunteer coaching team that includes Level 1 and Level 2 accredited coaches, supported by our employed Level 3 Coach Consultant.

Our coaching memberships are structured to encourage members to attain a level of accreditation and contribute to the club training program.

We love our coxes, if you're a trained coxswain or want to learn to be one we have a low cost membership option just for you.

Friend of the Argos

Our rowing family is bigger than just the crews, we are as much a social club as we are a rowing club.

We head away for major regattas during the season when partners, family and friends often come along. Our calendar of social and pride events through out the year means something is always on.

Become a non-rowing, friend of the Argonauts (Fargonaut) and get invites to all our public and club events.
