Now as everyone is aware, we are in the middle of celebrations for the 10th Anniversary of the Argonauts. Keeping with this theme, the Saturday morning social rowing is having a special row called "Naming Day Row".

For those who might be unaware, the Argonauts name was officially given on a train trip by our beloved founders of their way to Geelong (true!!!). So in honour of this event we are off to Geelong (Barwon River) for a special "Naming Day Row" on Saturday 27th of August. All being well, the row should commence at 10am, so everyone will have sufficient time to wend their way to the river. This gala row will then be followed by breakfast/brunch in Geelong (venue yet to be decided). So, the important thing is to keep the morning of Saturday 27th August available. I will be asking everyone to make a proper booking for this event, since we obviously have to have sufficient seats as per the number of rowers. For those who might be new or never been to the Barwon River previously it would be a good experience to row on a new waterway. It's also a lovely stretch of water. ( and there are no swams to avoid....lol ).

Please take a look at the Barwon River Couse Map and the meeting place below...
