Take the first steps toward learning to row at regattas or for fun and fitness ... and make some great new friends!
The Argonauts run Learn to Row (LTR) programs during the year, typically from August to April.
The Argonauts LTR program is about introducing you to the wonderful sport of rowing in a supportive, inclusive and friendly environment. It will instruct you in the basic skills and techniques, and give you the experience to decide if you want to further your interest in rowing. It's also a great way to meet new people and make new friends.
The LTR program consists of a weekend intensive of rowing, followed by four weeks of training sessions. These happen on a Monday evening and Saturday morning, all with accredited coaches and/or coxswains.
After you've completed the program, you'll be in an excellent position to decide if you want to continue to row. If rowing and the Argonauts are for you, you can then join us by becoming a member where we have a number of pathways to support you in your rowing journey from social, fun and fitness or into a competitive crew.
Your accredited LTR coaches and coxswains and members of the Argonauts are here for you. They donate their time to the program to make sure you have a great introduction to rowing and the club.
Dates for our LTR programs are on the events page and below. Register for one of the dates and if you want more information on the program email the coordinator at
Return to Row
Our Return to Row program offers former rowers an opportunity to get back into a boat in a relaxed and friendly environment. This is perfect for people who have rowed before, but it might have been a while since you last picked up an oar.
The Return to Row program gives you three rows as part of our Social Rowing events on Monday nights.
